Overview Waco, Inc., a commercial mechanical contractor, is seeking skilled and dedicated Sheet Metal Mechanics to join our team currently working at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in working with sheet metal, particularly in the areas of air conditioning and refrigeration systems. This role requires an individual who is detail-oriented, capable of performing various tasks related to the design and installation of metal ductwork and HVAC systems. We are seeking all levels of experience. Pay based on experience level. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening. Duties • Fabricate and assemble sheet metal products according to specifications and blueprints. • Install heating, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. • Collaborate with design teams to create efficient solutions for projects involving sheet metal applications. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Skills • Proficient in mechanical knowledge relevant to sheet metal work and HVAC systems. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. • Understanding of different methods of joining ductwork, as well as the ability to perform. • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with supervision, team members, and clients. • Capability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. • Refrigerant certification is a plus.
