Job description Dorvin D. Leis Co., Inc. is looking for candidates who are interested in a rewarding career in the HVAC sheet metal industry. This includes ductwork and architectural sheet metal. This is an entry level position and is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into the construction field, but more importantly there is enormous opportunity for growth. If you are successful in this position you will be eligible to enter the apprenticeship program for Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 293, which is a highly desirable career path. Upon completion of the apprentice program your opportunities for continued growth are endless. Duties • Deliver, stage and distribute sheet metal materials on the job site • Assist Sheet Metal Workers in clean-up on the job site • Operate forklifts as needed – training will be provide • Warehouse work and other sheet metal handling duties • Drive trucks and deliver materials • Other warehouse tasks such as organizing items and inventory Requirements • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED • Strong math skills • Good driving record • Basic computer/tech skills (able to text and email reports daily) Physical Abilities • Must be able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs.) and walk & stand for long periods of time. • Must be able to bend, climb, and squat, sometimes in close quarters. • Sheet metal warehouse workers will often work outdoors and be exposed to all types of weather • The work environment may be noisy and dusty, and job tasks may create vibrations All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
