There may be occurrences when travel outside of Grand Junction is necessary to respond to customer requests in areas such as (but not limited to): Vail, Eagle, Aspen, Rifle, and Glenwood Springs. Essential Job Functions • Meet all requirements of a 4 year apprentice • Use of all tools, equipment and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the HVAC/piping industry. • Have the minimal tools as required by the company in his/her possession. • Direct the activities of field crew member(s) in accordance with job schedules and priorities as coordinated with project manager/customer/general contractor and field foreman as applicable. • Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required. • Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible to complete assigned tasks either personally or through site foreman. • Responsible for physical jobsite organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area. • Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment. • Responsible for the accurate accounting of labor hours to the accounting department, material sheets and change orders, etc. • Responsible for instruction and on the job training of apprentices which includes emphasis on safety. • Responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certification for performing work in areas where such is required. • Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards. Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work. • Support the total quality effort. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time. • Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy. • Promote MTech business values and culture • Promote proper use of company assets • Regular and predictable attendance is expected in order to meet the requirements of this position • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • 4 year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of field experience • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sheet metal fabrication • Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards. • Must possess and maintain licenses that are required in the jurisdictions that you are working. • Reliable transportation to and from work required About MTech For 20 years, MTech has had a goal to build a great company with a great reputation.
