SUMMARY: The Sheetmetal Technician II works under general supervision to safely layout, fabricate, and install parts, equipment and fabricated items on aircraft following established operating procedures. All work performed should be in accordance with company design specifications, quality standards and completed work should meet customer expectations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Safely perform sheet-metal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft under general supervision • Coordinate with supervision and Inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA paperwork, sign-offs and quality specifications • Use complicated schematics/blueprints, engineering drawings and technical instructions to safely perform sheetmetal layout, fabrication, and installation of parts, equipment or fabricated items on aircraft • Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheet-metal functions

Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming ligh guage raw sheet metal into precise, high-quality components and assemblies using advanced welding techniques and fabrication processes. Your expertise will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards and adhere to industry codes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from ductwork to custom fabrications, in a fast-paced environment that values craftsmanship, safety, and innovation. Responsibilities • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate sheet metal components. • Operate various hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, bend, form, and assemble sheet metal parts. • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join metals with precision and strength. • Use calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools to ensure dimensional accuracy according to specifications. • Fabricate ductwork, enclosures, piping systems, and other metal assemblies adhering to ASME codes & standards. • Measure materials accurately using basic math skills for cutting and assembly tasks. • Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed for material handling within the shop or construction site. • Solder small components or fittings as part of assembly or repair processes. • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot fabrication issues and ensure compliance with project requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Skills • Proven construction site experience with a solid understanding of on-site fabrication processes. • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding techniques. • Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, machining equipment, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices. • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication including cutting, bending (press brake operation), forming, and assembly. • Mechanical knowledge related to pipe threading, soldering small fittings, and assembly procedures. • Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to manufacturing and fabrication work. • Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise fabrication tasks. • Experience working with ductwork systems or similar HVAC-related projects is a plus. • Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues during fabrication or installation phases.
