Overview: The Sheet Metal Mechanic is responsible for conducting the installation of metal/board HVAC systems. Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include: • Assembles and installs metal duct and fiberglass board. • Blueprint reading and understanding of sheet metal shop drawings. • All phases of duct installation (spiral, rectangular, double wall, welded). • Understanding of different connectors that are used. • Hanger layout as well as some field measuring. • Organizes work area and maintains all hand tools. • Lifts heavy materials at heights.
