The Position: Fabricator Qualifications: • Experience in oilfield building fabrication • Experience working in a manufacturing setting • Ability to provide clean driving record • Have a valid driver's license • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Problem solving & critical thinking • Self starter and able to work independently • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. • Familiarity with operating metalworking machinery and tools. Position Summary: The Fabricator is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components according to specifications, ensuring precision and adherence to quality standards. This role involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to create and install sheet metal products that meet engineering and architectural requirements. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings, sketches, and work specifications. • Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal according to templates and drawings. • Operate light metalworking machines, including shears, brakes, punches, and drill press equipment, to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal. • Utilize computerized laser or plasma cutting equipment to cut sheet metal. • Fit and join sheet metal parts using tools and equipment to fabricate products. • Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. • Grind and buff seams, joints, and rough surfaces to ensure smooth finishes. • Inspect product quality and installation for conformance to specifications. • Perform general shop maintenance, including assisting in the welding and electrical shops as needed. • Run errands and assist with material pickups as required. • Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned. All work undertaken in this position shall be conducted as per relevant industry safe work practices and all required safety tickets shall be kept and maintained for any work that may occur the field. Working Hours: Normal working hours are 8 working hours for each working day, between 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday-Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Employee is expected to start work no later than 8:00 am weekdays. The employee is expected to submit time sheets detailing working hours.
