Entry Level Plumber

We have several openings for career minded individuals who want to become an expert in plumbing construction, air conditioning/service, or fire sprinkler. The ideal candidate is curious and enjoys working under the Hawaiian sun. If hired you will receive education, as well as on the job training and an opportunity to become a licensed Journeyman in as little as five (5) years. **Union membership will be required if selected** Plumbing Trades • Plumbing Apprentices – Plumber apprentices are trained to layout, fabricate, and assemble water, sewer, solar and other piping systems. Plumbers learn to thread, solder, and braze pipes. They also install toilets, bathtubs, sinks, and water heaters. • Refrigeration Air Conditioning Apprentices – Refrigeration and air conditioning apprentices are trained in the installation of all types of cooling equipment and controls, and layout and assembly of related piping. Servicing, maintenance, overhaul, and repairs of all cooling systems are accomplished by mechanics and apprentices to maintain refrigeration and air conditioning system efficiency. • Fire Sprinkler Fitters - Fire Sprinkler Fitters are trained to layout, fabricate, install, repair, maintain, inspect, and service all types of fire suppression systems. They also learn different types of pipe joining techniques which include thread, solder, braze, plastic CPVC piping and weld. Position Requirements • Must have a valid Driver’s License. • High school graduate or General Educational Development (G.E.D.) certificate or equivalent. • Be physically fit to perform the duties of the trade. Requirements • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments and lift up to 50 pounds. • Basic math skills and a desire to learn and grow. • Experience level requirements vary by role — from no experience required for apprentices to journeyman licensing for higher-level positions.
