Details for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC) position: • Monday-Friday | 7am-3:30pm; occasional evenings and weekends • Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire • Zero Fees - you’ll never be charged for any screening service • Fast Start Date • Weekly Pay • Possibly Short and Long-term domestic travel Job Duties for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC): • Prepare, install, and service by repairing plumbing, piping, duct systems, and HVAC systems independently or with apprentices, including demolition, material prep, and equipment installation • Evaluate work via construction documents and drawings, generate material takeoffs, track stock, enforce safety policies, and maintain certifications/code compliance • Operate machinery/tools safely (forklifts, aerial platforms, power tools), manage company assets, and assist documentation using electronic devices • Assume responsibility for company-issued assets such as PPE, vehicles, tools, and equipment, and keep those items securely stored when not in use • Keep track of material and equipment stock, and communicate needs to supervisor(s) to ensure steady job productivity • Keep a tidy work environment free of debris and unnecessary clutter • Maintain any certifications or licensure that qualify the individual for employment as a Mechanic • Follow all policies and safety procedures in place • Completes any other related tasks as needed • Exposure to fumes and airborne particles* Qualifications for Mechanic (Plumbing/HVAC): • Trade school certification in HVAC, plumbing, pipefitting, welding, automated control systems, or another related field • Two (2) or more years of work experience in commercial or industrial mechanical construction • Certifications and Licenses • Familiar with codes and regulations • Wear PPE as required • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 lbs • Ability to work in fluctuating weather (temperature and precipitation) • Vision requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral vision; depth perception and focus adjustment • Ability to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach If you have the experience and skills we're looking for, apply to Luttrell Staffing today!
