Job Description: As a Pipefitter at United Trades of America, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with blueprints, specifications, and industry standards. From commercial and industrial facilities to residential complexes, your expertise in pipefitting will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and functionality of various plumbing and mechanical systems. Responsibilities: • Pipe Installation: Measure, cut, thread, and install pipes using various tools and techniques, including welding, soldering, and brazing, to meet project requirements. • Pipefitting: Fabricate and assemble pipe sections, fittings, and valves to create piping systems for water, gas, steam, air, and other fluids. • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and configuration of piping systems. • Pipe Support Installation: Install pipe hangers, supports, and braces to secure piping systems and ensure proper alignment and stability. • Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections and tests to verify the integrity and functionality of installed piping systems, making adjustments and repairs as needed to meet quality standards. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices at all times. • Collaboration: Coordinate with other tradespeople, such as welders, plumbers, and HVAC technicians, to ensure the seamless integration of piping systems within larger construction projects. Requirements: • Pipefitting Experience: Proven experience as a Pipefitter, with expertise in installing and assembling piping systems in commercial, industrial, or residential settings. • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of pipefitting techniques, materials, and tools, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Certifications: Preferred certification as a Journeyman Pipefitter or equivalent, demonstrating proficiency in the pipefitting trade. Additional certifications in welding or plumbing are advantageous. • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods. • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail and a commitment to precision and accuracy in pipefitting work. • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals.
