As an Associate Machine Operator, you will have the opportunity to utilize the latest mills, lathes, mill-turns, and Swiss machines to produce close-tolerance parts for our medical products. Key roles will be to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and assist the operations team in efficient production. This role has great potential for growth and learning in a safe, clean work environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Provide assistance in the set-up and operation of a variety of CNC, and various other, machines. • Sharpens and changes tooling as needed to maintain tolerances, may give input or recommendations. • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and other accessories onto machines. • Makes minimal adjustments and monitors assigned equipment to ensure dimensional part integrity. • Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and assist in preventative maintenance when necessary. • Document actions by completing production and quality logs • Perform other related tasks including but not limited to performing housekeeping tasks, maintains 5S standards, and supports continuous improvement activities as required to keep the work area safe, clean and organized. • Complete all training requirements and follows established procedures (FDA cGMP, ISO, OSHA, etc.). • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Required Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalency Preferred Qualifications: • Familiarity with Production Machining, CAD, and technical specifications • Ability to follow written or verbal instructions • Associates Degree in Technical field • 6-12 months’ work experience • Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage time effectively Physical Requirements: • Able to frequently lift up to 35 pounds unassisted • Ability to bend, stoop and use hands unencumbered • Unaided visual acuity or corrected visual acuity should be at least 20/40 in each eye at infinity (20 feet) with the ability to distinguish colors.
