CNC Machinist - multiple shifts

We are currently seeking a full time CNC Machinist/Machine Operator for our 1st shift (Monday - Thursday 6:00am - 4:30pm) and 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 3:00am) to join our team! 3-5 years experience desired with a variety of CNC equipment. Preference given to machinists that are familiar with Mazatrol and Fanuc controllers. Familiarity with close tolerances, ISO and SPC processes helpful. Responsibilities • Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture precision gears according to specifications. • Utilize and interpret engineering drawings. • Assist with the development of processing concepts, as well as problem solving specific to turning/milling processes. • Work with peers to assist in inventory management of approved tooling area. • Communicates with peers and outside vendors to facilitate improvements. • Evaluates product processes according to specification and quality standards Qualifications • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role. • Proficiency in CNC programming and operation of CNC lathe and milling machines. • Strong understanding of blueprint reading. • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. • Experience with lean manufacturing principles is a plus. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. The Salary Range for our Machining Finisher job is $17.00-$19.00 per hour. Refer to the job description below: Summary/Objective: Remove excess material from cast parts Job Responsibilities: Finish machined parts using a wide variety of air, electric, and hand held tools to the required finish, perform a visual inspection of finished parts, gauge inspection as necessary, and complete all required production paperwork and reporting. • Use a wide variety of air, electric and handheld tools to deburr, grind, chisel, sand and buff machined parts to required finish • Visually inspect parts and blend distorted and mismatched parts as necessary • Use go no go gauges on specified parts • Verify counts with traveler and route to next operation • Maintain adequate supplies of finishing consumables • Completes and/or maintains required reports and records • Meets quality and quantity standards for the position • Adheres to all safety policies and practices, consistently uses personal protective equipment, and practices good housekeeping. • Maintains regular on-time attendance and adheres to company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. • Proactively supports the ISO process approach to quality management and the Syteline MIS system. • Applies classroom and on the job post training information, knowledge, skills, and abilities consistently in a quality-oriented manner (wherein the KSAs are part of the jobs tasks, duties and other tasks as requested). • Performs other tasks as directed. CNC Lathe Lead

Summary: The Lead Lathe Machinist is responsible for overseeing product-to-machine coordination, setting up machine centers, performing auxiliary programming, and validating first-piece runs. This position collaborates with STC’s MET to design and implement improved work-holding solutions, introduce modern tooling, and update setup instructions, BOMs, and legacy machining processes for standardization. The role emphasizes safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness across all operations. Specific Duties and Responsibilities • Ensure current and future processes comply with regulatory and safety standards. •Set up multi-axis CNC machining centers for operator use. •Create and edit programs for multi-axis CNC machining centers. •Integrate new and existing equipment with legacy products. •Develop, strengthen, and standardize setup work instructions. •Improve tooling to maximize efficiency. •Implement Lean Six Sigma manufacturing practices to reduce costs and lead times. •Develop, evaluate, and improve bills of materials, job travelers, and related documentation. •Create utilization management tools to measure product and equipment performance. •Support training of operators on processes and procedures. •Identify and implement technology solutions to address process constraints.
