Job Title: Multivac/Marel Fillet Machine/Ryco Butcher Mechanic Department: Fresh/Frozen Revision Date: 1/31/2025 NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the organization's ongoing needs. Position Overview Alaska General Seafoods- Ketchikan is looking for an experienced, organized, and hardworking individual to join our Fresh/Frozen Department as night shift fillet line machinist. This is a seasonal position at our facility in Ketchikan, Alaska and requires that you are available to work May 26th, 2024, through roughly the 1st week of September depending on the Salmon run. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Maintenance and repair of Multivac, Ryco Header/Gutter and Marel Fillet Machine. • Maintenance and repair of conveyors, hydraulic tote dumper and related machinery. • Works with other departments to provide a continuous flow of products through the plant. • Ensure all tasks including all associated paperwork are completed in compliance with Plant's safety program. • Follow all requirements of the facility’s Process Safety Management program for refrigeration compliance. • Other duties as assigned. Summary: Must be able to work long hours in wet and cold conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Must be able to work 12-16 hours a day, 7 days per week depending on production needs. OT paid after 8 reg hrs in a day and after 40 reg hours in a week. Housing, meals and transportation provided, shipping is paid for tools to and from the plant. Must be willing to work night shift. Successful candidates bring a wide range of problem-solving abilities to contribute to a production-intensive team environment. Wages: TBD Depending on experience, this is a union position.
