CNC Machinist

Fortus Technologies, Inc. requires experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist. We require experience with Vertical Machining and/or Horizontal Machining. CNC lathe experience a plus. Candidate will be working with CAD, CAM and software programs. Will be responsible for production machining of components from castings as well as bar stock and any other duties we require. Learn more about us at: FortusLogic.com Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Must be able complete part changeover, including setting up machine, tool touch off, fixture offsets, etc • Read, interpret and follow engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, GD&T, and other written instructions or procedures. • Perform & document in process quality measurements to written standards. • Operate calipers, inspection gauges, micrometers, and other quality control instrumentation. • Perform standard preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and continued operation. • Work with quality control department as required. • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Qualifications/Requirements: • High School Diploma or GED • Ability to read and understand drawings • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills • Specific technical or vocational training, certification preferred • Work in a team environment and respect all teammates • Must be able to regularly lift 30-50 lbs • Must be able to regularly perform repetitive tasks • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a CNC production environment. Corrugated Machine Operator -2nd Shift

Sun - Thur 10 am - 6 pm 2nd Shift OT as required Summary Responsible for helping to create finished products by assisting with machine operation, manual labor, and maintaining production standards. Production Associates will also be responsible for following all safety procedures Essential Functions • Actively engaged to meet daily customer demand and production schedule. • Ensure safety standards are maintained at all times. • Setup and adjust machine settings to meet product specifications. • Troubleshoot problems throughout production run. • Checks and assures box quality, including, but not limited to lose liner, warp, correct size, and print. • Adhere to production schedule. Reports any unusual scheduling issues to Production Lead. • Performs job in a safe, efficient and productive manner, while maximizing the utilization of equipment at available capacity and speed. • Train and assist assistant and helper with job duties on the machine. • Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping. • Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs.
