Position Overview Our team is forward thinking, innovative, and passionate about growing. Our Machinist (Manual & CNC) takes the product from start to finish. The Machinist programs, completes the set-up, loads material into machine to fabricate the part. Most of our jobs consist of one off part runs (no production runs). Our Machinist must be versatile to handle Emergency Rush Jobs. Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsible for supporting others in the training of fabricating parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirement’s. • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements. • Measures and marks dimensions and reference points and material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining. • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to Machining Foreman. • Communicates with management, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues. • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the company quality program and procedures, company policies and safety and environmental regulations. • Other duties as assigned. Desired Skills and Experience: • High school diploma or GED or certified technical school • Must be able to read and interpret drawings and follow routers • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of those • Instruments, including but not limited to, calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, and indicators • Strong understanding in blue print reading, geometric tolerancing interpretation. • Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines. • Must possess basic math skills, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra • Past experience with CNC equipment, as well as experience with CNC controllers Benefits Competitive Hourly Compensation based upon skill level and experience.
