CNC MILL OPERATION Job Title: CNC MILL OPERATOR Department: MILL Reports to: Department LEAD FLSA Status: Non-Exempt General Purpose of Job/ Duties: Forkey Construction and Fabrication, Inc. is a leading fabrication and manufacturing company of steel in the Northeast region. CNC Mill operator monitors and operates CNC (computer numerically controlled) mill machines to cut metal and plastic parts for the manufacturing industry. After programmed, CNC Mill operator will oversee the production, running of the machine and monitoring machine for problems and operations. Essential Functions: · Loading of materials into CNC machine. · Calculate the amount of material to be fed into the machine and adjust operations speed based on vibrations and sounds not consistent with normal cutting. · Checks all produced parts for accuracy, tolerances, specifications, and overall quality. · Works with Engineers, programmers, and Supervisor to make needed corrections to the operations when issues arise. · Deburr parts as needed or required. · Perform basic machine maintenance. · Keeps work are clean and organized for safe operation for yourself and others. · Ability to load and change programs after trained. · Ability to take and follow directions from Supervisor, ability to provide positive feedback on how to improve systems and processes Educations/ Experience Preferred: · High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) required · Two to three years of relevant experience preferred · High degree of attention to detail with accuracy · Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks · Knowledge of machines used in operation Physical Requirements: · Long periods of standing in one place. · Ability of lift 60 lbs. using proper lifting guidelines.
