The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a professional demeanor, as you will be the face of our company to our valued customers. Key Responsibilities • Service & Repair: Accurately diagnose and repair system failures on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment (furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, etc.). • Maintenance: Perform comprehensive preventative maintenance and seasonal tune-ups to ensure system efficiency and longevity. • Troubleshooting: Efficiently troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components, including controls, motors, compressors, and refrigerant systems. • Customer Interaction: Clearly and professionally communicate diagnoses, repair options, and maintenance recommendations to customers. Provide quotes for repairs. • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of all service calls, parts used, and work performed using our digital work order system. • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company, local, and federal safety standards and regulations. • On-Call: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency after-hours and weekend service. • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked company service vehicle. Qualifications and Skills Required: • Experience: 2 years of documented field experience as an HVAC service technician. • License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record. • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of HVAC principles, electrical circuits, and refrigerant handling. • Problem-Solving: Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities. • Customer Service: A positive attitude and strong interpersonal communication skills. • Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and access confined spaces (attics, crawlspaces). • Tools: Must possess a standard set of personal hand tools.
