Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two years relevant experience in a related field or Associate's degree and four years relevant experience in a related field along with excellent oral and written communication skills required. Essential Job Functions: • Able to read, write and analyze electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. • Use all types of testing instruments. • Must have broad knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specification codes and handbook formulas along with a working knowledge of PLC’s, VFD’s, Motor Control, and Power Distribution. • Determine proper type, size of materials and equipment for the job, including power requirements. • Perform electrical work requiring high degree of trade skill to install, test, inspect, adjust, repair and wire all plant equipment and circuits to required voltages and tolerances. • Able to locate, diagnose and remedy troubles quickly to avoid shutdowns. • Adjust all plant equipment to proper operating characteristics. • Able to fabricate material to be used for electrical equipment. • Operate shop trucks for handling materials. • Adhere to all company safety policies including the proper use of PPE. Education and Experience: • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. • Associate degree in electrical engineering or alike field is preferred. • Trade certifications from organizations such as BOCES or MACNY highly desirable. • Requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an alike role. • 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing setting, especially a foundry, is highly desirable. Duties include, but not limited to: Will perform electrical maintenance on hospital and campus electrical systems and electrical utilization equipment. Installs new electrical systems as required.
