Position will be responsible for building management interfaces, electrical power distribution and monitoring, and electrical controls process and projects. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree and three years relevant experience in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience, along with excellent oral and written communication skills required. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated knowledge of digital automated building management systems, power distribution and control systems, and/or automation and electronic control systems (fire alarm, automatic doors, lighting controls, and/or security/nurse call) preferred. Duties include, but not limited to: Will perform electrical maintenance on hospital and campus electrical systems and electrical utilization equipment. Installs new electrical systems as required. While performing these duties evaluate electrical systems for safety, efficiency, and compliance to applicable building codes. Will locate & determine electrical malfunction using various test instruments (i.e. ammeter, volt meter); repair or replace malfunctioning switches, elements and fuses, & defective wiring; install fixtures, motors, and other electrical equipment; inspect circuits & wiring/rewiring systems in accordance with NEC standards; plan layout & wiring installation; interpret, read & follow blueprint & other diagrams. Minimum Qualifications: Four years of full-time experience under a skilled journeyman which would provide training equivalent to that given in an apprenticeship program. Must also possess two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work in related trades (HVAC and Electronics) under the supervision of a skilled tradesman or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course or a combination of both.
