Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technician

Stamping and Packaging Division (Day Shift) JOB TITLE: Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technician DEPARTMENT: MANUFACTURING (Maintenance) REPORTS TO: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR/MGR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Troubleshoots and performs repairs in and about plant on machinery, stamping presses, laser cutting equipment, facilities, and buildings. - Must be able to climb and work in elevated areas. - Candidate should be able to work on and understand hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems and be able to fabricate tools and simple parts as required (welded and fabricate). - Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the building, grounds, and equipment; Electrical, Plumbing and Building Structure. - Will perform hands-on industrial maintenance as needed. Must be able to make complex repairs to metal cutting and forming equipment and the ability to take direction from senior plan members. - Maintaining/Updating/Learning PM program/PMs on equipment weekly/monthly to promote a vigilant working system, maintenance documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipment. Troubleshoot & repair equipment utilizing knowledge, blueprints schematic and drawings. - Know the equipment’s safety functions/features prior to use. Ability to understand equipment manuals and instrumentation instructions. - Follow safety procedures, lock out/Tag out any unsafe machinery and use LOTO for Safety purposes. - Assist with installation of new equipment. - Operate Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, and work at heights. - Completing other assignments as directed by the supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS: • - Must be able to work a flexible schedule and show up to work and on time. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME. - High School Education or Equivalent - *Electrician and mechanical press experience - *Strong electrical background. Industrial electronic background both high and low voltage (480 vac and 24 vdc) _ *Willing to learn Laser/Brake Press technology, mechanically and electrically - *Trouble shooting electrical controls. - *PLC and proximity sensor experience. _ Knowing how to read electrical schematics is a plus - Experience with bearing tolerances and fits - Strong mechanical experience - Lubrication and sensor experience - Three years’ experience performing installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and electromechanical equipment in an industrial setting. - Must be physically able to perform work; 10-hour shifts or more. - Act with a sense of urgency - Good communicator - Work independently or in a team. - Computer skills Job Type: Full-time Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person

Qualifications and Experience of Low Voltage Technician: • High school diploma or equivalent. • Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. • Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. • Knowledge of local electrical codes and standards. • Preferred: BICSI Installer Certification, CompTIA Network+ certification, manufacturer-specific certifications (e.g., Honeywell, Axis, Bosch), NICET 1 & 2 Fire Alarm certification, OSHA 10/30 hour certification, technical training in low voltage systems.
