Charles Deweese Construction has an immediate opening for an Electrical Maintenance Technician at our Asphalt Plant. We are currently offering a $1,500 sign on bonus. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Maintain Electrical and Mechanical Systems Electrical maintenance technicians must perform regular maintenance on existing systems and design maintenance schedules for all systems to ensure they remain in proper working order. Troubleshoot Electrical maintenance technicians troubleshoot and repair motors, mechanical circuits, and all mechanical and electrical systems. Perform Tests Routine and on-the-spot tests of all mechanical and electrical systems and circuits must be performed regularly by electrical maintenance technicians. Follow Safety Regulations Electrical maintenance technicians are responsible for following and maintaining all OSHA safety standards and regulations with everything they do. See More Details >>Essential Functions • Order necessary materials and supplies for electrical installations and repairs. • Install and maintain electrical feeds for 120V, 240V, 208V, and 480V equipment. • Install and repair lighting, outlets, electrical panels, machines, and motors. • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems, including power failures, faulty wiring, and equipment malfunctions. • Perform preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability. • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes. • Work with other maintenance team members to support facility operations. • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including repairs and installations. • Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate PPE. • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision • Follow all health and safety regulations • Special projects as required Additional Functions • Actively role model all company environmental, health and safety standards. • Establish and maintain effective relationships with Operations, Managers, Supervisors, and Team Members. • Ability to work safety with a variety of cleaning supplies. Minimum Qualifications • Journeyman Electrician License (preferred but not required, depending on experience and location). • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a facility maintenance or industrial setting. • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams. • Experience with conduit bending, wiring, and control circuits. • Familiarity with NFPA 70E and OSHA safety standards. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Tasks and Qualifications: What You Will Do In This Role: • Responsible for installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality • Responsible for quality checklists and submittal of Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified • Responsible for on-site safety including but not limited to safety audits • Assists with routine equipment trial runs to ensure that it meets specifications and assure equipment is installed to Dematic standards • Provides on-site reporting on schedule and resources to project manager and/or customer • Provides assistance with training of contract labor and subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other material handling equipment • Writes concise, clear, and completes trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures • Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to solve them in situations where the problem is not difficult or complex • Travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling; must be willing to be on call and travel accordingly • Push, pull, crawl, squat and walk around large construction sites in various climates and conditions • Lift at least 50 lbs. What We Are looking For: • Ten years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment • Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is preferred • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. Associate's Degree preferred. • Experience with quality assurance • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred • Willingness to work weekends, holidays and off shifts - offer OT compensation • Must have knowledge in the use of personal computers, data base functions and communications. • Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required. • Possess a valid driver's license.
